If Not Now came together by the shear determination of the lead singer and rhythm guitarist, Jay O'Hara. He surveyed friends and family in search of folks that could play an instrument and who would fit into a band dynamic. He gathered 4 guys together and what started as a weekly fun jam, evolved into something greater than he had ever imagined. The band quickly came to realize that not only did they sound pretty good, but they were also like-minded and actually got along really well too. The band graduated from doing only covers to actually writing their own music and then eventually recording their originals. Thus was born the band, If Not Now
